For members who are curious about the PCRF adjustment on your bill, PCRF stands for Power Cost Recovery Factor. It is a mechanism that allows a cooperative to add to, or subtract from, the per kilowatt-hour charge on your bill, depending on the cost of electricity in the Texas market. If you have been a member of FCEC for a long time, you may have seen this listed on your bill as a Fuel Cost Adjustment—either as an additional charge or as a credit—many times over the past few years.
